Theater Camp (2023)

Rating: 7.7

Theatre geeks rejoice — Theater Camp is the PERFECT movie for you! It’s a pure and utter delight. Unfortunately I think it’s a little too niche for general audiences, but theatre kids will love this mostly improvised, joyous celebration of theatre arts. I had no expectations but what a great, charming little film! There are flaws, and the writing struggles at times, but the cast and their eccentric characters more than make up for it. It’s cute, wholesome and funny film made by theatre kids, for theatre kids. And I gotta say… the musical they put on at the end… actually pretty good!
