Man, Zac Efron is not so great at picking projects to work on. First “Firestarter" earlier this year (which was utter shit) and now this. “The Greatest Beer Run Ever” is a not so great movie. There are fun moments to it, and the true story of this guy who went to Vietnam to deliver his friends some beer is insane… but the movie was terribly executed. The writing was sub par, dialogue was awful. Every message the film seems to want to convey has been covered a million times before. Based on this subject you could’ve done a lot more with the story that was unique, but no, they chose a very bland and boring path. And hell, the acting was so stale too. I wasn’t a huge fan of this. It wasn’t horrible, but just wasn’t anything special.
