Premise: Each Christmas Eve, the ghost of Christmas Present selects one dark soul to be reformed by a visit from three spirits. But this season, he picked the wrong Scrooge. Clint Briggs turns the tables on his ghostly host until Present finds himself examining his own past present and future. For the first time, A Christmas Carol is told from the perspective of the ghosts in this hilarious musical twist on the classic Dickens tale.

My Review:

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays Everyone!!

Thought I’d save this review for today, and I’ll keep it short and sweet since my one for “Babylon” is gonna be long… and let’s be real it’s Christmas… no one’s gonna read it today anyways when they could be celebrating.

Regardless, this is an awesome Christmas musical! It’s a fun refresh of “A Christmas Carol” starring two iconic comedy stars… and my god I love Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds together! And who knew they could sing and dance so well?! The musical sequences are great, the songs are catchy and Reynolds and Ferrell seem to be having a blast! It’s no perfect film… but what more could you want from a Christmas movie other than something that is a nice, comedic and delightful musical filled with holiday spirit?! Will be a classic for me going forwards, I love me a good Christmas movie and a good musical… add in Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds and mix it all together and I’m sold! Super enjoyable movie, I highly recommend checking it out and watching it with family and friends this Christmas! It’s pure enjoyment!

Fun Fact: The fifth musical film collaboration between Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. The others being La La Land (2016), The Greatest Showman (2018), Dear Evan Hansen (2021), and Lyle Lyle Crocodile (2022).
