It’s original, quirky, and maybe not for the squeamish, but Fingernails is unfortunately not quite as interesting as its premise suggests. It has some great ideas, but overall can be underwhelming at times. Still, while it may not be as good as The Lobster or Eternal Sunshine, this is a creative, darkly funny, and surprisingly sweet film dealing with the nature of relationships and love through a sci-fi lens that is propped up by a trio of solid performances!
